What is metabolic health?
Metabolic health describes how efficiently your body converts the food you eat into energy and how well it regulates things like blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and body fat.
When your metabolism isn't working as well as it should, it doesn't always announce itself with one obvious symptom. Instead, you might notice small changes that gradually become your "normal."
You might recognise some of these:
• Feeling tired despite getting enough sleep.
• Finding it difficult to lose weight despite eating well.
• Constant hunger or cravings, particularly for sugary foods.
• Energy crashes during the day.
• Carrying more weight around your middle.
• Prediabetes or insulin resistance.
• Raised cholesterol or triglycerides.
• Fatty liver.
• Polycystic Ovary Metabolic Syndrome (PMOS).
These symptoms are often connected, and understanding why they're happening is the first step towards changing them.
